IT’S TIME TO EXPECT BETTER
Better representation for a better Georgia.
For anyone in East Cobb, Roswell, or Woodstock alarmed by the state’s escalating attacks on our bodies, our families, our doctors’ offices, our classrooms and libraries, even our polling places, I’m running for state senate district 56 to fight for our freedoms and to deliver a better future for everyone in Georgia.
And unlike my opponent who’s spent 14 years rolling back our freedoms, failing to safeguard our kids, and gerrymandering his district to stay in office, I promise to bring everyone in the 56—regardless of ideology—the best possible constituent experience so you feel heard, valued, and supported.
As we all deserve to be.
I’m running for the 56. Let’s make a better Georgia for all of us.

MEET JD JORDAN.
I’m an awesome dad, killer novelist, design unicorn, and cancer survivor. And I’m running to better represent Georgia’s state senate district 56.
For 25+ years, I’ve been solving real problems for some of the biggest agencies, consultancies, and brands in Georgia and beyond—both as a small-business entrepreneur and as an enterprise design leader. I’ve written award-winning novels, taught at UGA and General Assembly, and trained business leaders in both the public and private sectors. And with my amazing wife Ellie, I’m bringing up five awesome kiddos in the same thriving North Atlanta community where I grew up.
WHERE IS THE 56?
Georgia’s 56th state senate district includes East Cobb, Roswell, & Woodstock as well as many other communities in their orbits—ranging from Holly Springs in the north to the riverside neighborhoods along the Chattahoochee, and to the charming enclave of Mountain Park in between.
It’s perfectly reasonable for most folks not to know which state house or senate district they live in—in fact, many of our incumbent legislators are counting on it! That’s because many of our North Atlanta suburban districts were recently gerrymandered to protect underperforming incumbents and our new district maps only went into effect starting with Georgia's state legislative elections in 2022.
Browse an interactive map or check your address to see if you’re in the 56. If you are, let’s connect and start working together to make it a better one.

MYLEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES.
Defending our personal freedoms from government overreach.
The government doesn’t belong in our families, our bedrooms, our places of worship, our doctor’s offices, our classrooms and libraries, or polling places. Rather, the government’s job is to protect our Constitutional rights and ensure the public good—not to impose the righteous will of a minority into our private spheres.
Proactively grow our state economy—for everyone.
While a great many state legislators—our opponent included—point the finger at Washington for our economic woes, I’d rather focus on what action we can take at the state level to take control of our own economic destiny.
Improving your constituent experience.
The sad truth is, the vast majority of our elected representatives would fail any reasonable customer-experience assessment—just try to have a discussion with our opponent about a legislative issue and you’ll see how bad it can be.

Open communication is the cornerstone of good representation—and sadly lacking in many Georgia Senate districts, including the 56. So, let’s start the day right by catching up over a cup of morning coffee (or tea or mocha or whatever gets your day started well) and learn a little bit about one another.
