7,000 doors knocked—and many more to come!

This is a post about gratitudes.

When I started this State Senate campaign, I’d never lit dropped or canvassed a single home. And now, 12-months after announcing our campaign, I’m absolutely staggered to realize our team has canvassed 7,000 homes in the 56!

And I’m beyond fortunate to have so many great partners in this effort:

I’ve been fortunate to learn at the proverbial knee of Micheal Garza, who’s passion for canvassing not only wears through sneakers like nobody’s business, but who’s experience leveled me and my volunteer crew up at record speed. I’m so thankful his House District 46 and my Senate District 56 overlap 100%!

I’m also blessed to have the support of the Cherokee County Democrats. They were the first county party I really leaned into and it’s been a wonderful experience to grow and learn alongside their impressive and motivated GOTV team. They’ve done an amazing job reaching voters in Woodstock and along 92!

And I’m beyond thankful for the support of the Progressive Turnout Project, a political action committee who’ve funded full-time fellows to work the field for our campaign and the campaigns of several overlapping house races!

Canvassing can be one of the most effective ways for a candidate to spread their message and I’m grateful to these partners and our host of volunteers for ringing so many doorbells and talking to so many neighbors!

With just two weeks to go until early voting begins (on Tuesday, October 15) and five weeks until Election Day (on Tuesday, November 5), we’re stepping up our canvassing efforts for a final push and I’d love for you to join us whenever works bets for your schedule:

JD JORDAN FOR GEORGIA STATE SENATE DISTRICT 56

For anyone in East Cobb, Roswell, or Woodstock alarmed by the state’s escalating attacks on our bodies, our families, our doctors’ offices, our classrooms and libraries, even our polling places, I’m running for State Senate district 56 to fight for our freedoms and to deliver a better future for everyone in Georgia.

And unlike my opponent who’s spent 14 years rolling back our freedoms, failing to safeguard our kids, and gerrymandered his district to stay in office, I promise to bring everyone in the 56—regardless of ideology—the best possible constituent experience so you feel heard, valued, and supported. As we all deserve to be.

I’m running for the 56. Let’s make a better Georgia for all of us.
