He can’t run on his record. So we will.

There have been 48 school shootings in Georgia since John Albers became chair of the Senate Public Safety Committee.

Correction. 49. There was an incident last week in Lagrange.

As the The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported last week, our campaign purchased www.senatorjohnalbers.com and turned it into a detailed takedown of our opponent's record on gun violence in our schools.

Some folks have assumed we launched this website in response to Albers' attacks on my family. And while those dishonest attacks have caused my kids and me a lot of pain, I'm not interested in trading personal jabs. I don't think it's helpful to the debate and I don't believe it shows the kind of mature leadership we're looking for from our legislators.

I'd rather stay the “high road” and focus on this issues. Issues like Albers’ support for permissive gun laws. Issues like his inability to communicate with constituents. And, in turn, my promise to you to do better for our kids and for our community.

Checkout out our opponent's honest website at:
www.senatorjohnalbers.com

And if you're as horrified by his record as I am, I hope you'll share it.

“Senate Slams”

The following appeared in the AJC’s Daily Jolt newsletter on Friday, September 27, 2024.

The race between Republican state Sen. John Albers of Roswell and Democratic challenger JD Jordan is taking a nastier turn.

Jordan purchased senatorjohnalbers.com and turned it into a detailed takedown of the GOP incumbent, complete with a fundraising tab called “Help Get Rid of Me.” It was a reminder of why all politicians should buy their domain names.

Jordan’s campaign website, meanwhile, includes responses to attacks some voters received labeling him a “deadbeat dad” and other insults. Albers said the attacks came from an outside group.

“I hope he will cease his foolish attacks and be a mature professional moving forward,” said Albers. “As we have done in every race, I will continue to work hard and serve the people in a positive and professional manner.”

JD JORDAN FOR GEORGIA STATE SENATE DISTRICT 56

For anyone in East Cobb, Roswell, or Woodstock alarmed by the state’s escalating attacks on our bodies, our families, our doctors’ offices, our classrooms and libraries, even our polling places, I’m running for State Senate district 56 to fight for our freedoms and to deliver a better future for everyone in Georgia.

And unlike my opponent who’s spent 14 years rolling back our freedoms, failing to safeguard our kids, and gerrymandered his district to stay in office, I promise to bring everyone in the 56—regardless of ideology—the best possible constituent experience so you feel heard, valued, and supported. As we all deserve to be.

I’m running for the 56. Let’s make a better Georgia for all of us.
