Day of a Thousand Doors was a hit!

Micheal Garza and I had the best day, Saturday, with Stacey Abrams, Nell Goza, Parker Short, and more than a hundred volunteers who turned out for the largest mass canvass the suburbs of East Cobb, Roswell, and Woodstock have ever seen from a state campaign!

Thank you to everyone who turned out. Y’all and your commitment to better representation for a better Georgia were a powerful force! The afternoon data showed our volunteers canvassed 1,080 doors, completed over 700 phone calls, and prepped hundreds of postcards in just a few hours! And many more groups haven't fully reported back in yet!

And thank you so much to the Michels for opening your fantastic home to our motley crew of passionate and very hardworking Democrats!

The event was a wonderful exclamation mark for our campaign. And it was a humbling reminder of how far we’ve come since that first day when Ellie and I decided to run for office to protect our kids—but had no idea what we were getting ourselves into! Or even since the first meeting with my campaign team when Alex asked me who I most wanted to meet in Georgia Politics (for the record, one of my two answers was Stacey Abrams, President of United Earth 🙃).

With 14 days left until election day, I feel completely recharged and hopeful. We did something really powerful, with over 100 volunteers from six local campaigns, three county parties, and the Harris/Walz coordinated campaign. Thank you all for your support!

Let's flip ‘em the burbs!

My name is JD Jordan. I’m a dad, an author, a product designer, a cancer survivor, and I’m your candidate for State Senate.

And today, I’m completely blown away.

I filed my Declaration of Intent to run 16 months ago and I sent out my first fundraising texts to friends and family 13 months ago. Micheal and I survived our primaries five months ago and since then our campaigns have canvassed nearly 8,000 homes across three counties. But today might be the most important day for either of our campaigns.

The eyes of the nation are on these quiet burbs we call home—East Cobb, Roswell, and Woodstock. And that’s no hyperbole. From the president and Congress down to the State Senate, to the State House, to the school board, the voters of these North Atlanta suburbs have among the most powerful voices in the country and in Georgia for change and for better representation.

And every single post on our ballots is flipable.

We’re doing something really powerful, today. We have over 100 volunteers from six local campaigns and the Harris/Walz coordinated campaign. We’re going to hit over 1,000 homes. We’re going to call ten times that many. We’ve got Stacey Abrams.

We’re about to pull off the largest organized canvass these burbs have ever seen.

As I said, it’s been a long and extremely busy road getting to right now. To this moment when we can make such a huge difference in our country and our state. And each of us have our own reasons for being here, for volunteering out time and our energy.

My campaign for the State Senate began 18 months ago when our senator wouldn’t take my call.

Looking out at this crowd, now? I reckon he should’ve.

Let’s go flip ‘em the burbs.

JD JORDAN FOR GEORGIA STATE SENATE DISTRICT 56

For anyone in East Cobb, Roswell, or Woodstock alarmed by the state’s escalating attacks on our bodies, our families, our doctors’ offices, our classrooms and libraries, even our polling places, I’m running for State Senate district 56 to fight for our freedoms and to deliver a better future for everyone in Georgia.

And unlike my opponent who’s spent 14 years rolling back our freedoms, failing to safeguard our kids, and gerrymandered his district to stay in office, I promise to bring everyone in the 56—regardless of ideology—the best possible constituent experience so you feel heard, valued, and supported. As we all deserve to be.

I’m running for the 56. Let’s make a better Georgia for all of us.
