NEWSROOM
The latest from the Georgia Capitol & the campaign trail.
Day of a Thousand Doors was a hit!
Micheal Garza and I had the best day, Saturday, with Stacey Abrams, Nell Goza, Parker Short, and more than a hundred volunteers who turned out for the largest mass canvass the suburbs of East Cobb, Roswell, and Woodstock have ever seen from a state campaign!
A rally to Trust Women.
On Tuesday, a Trust Women Rally popped up in Forsyth County just down the road from where Donald Trump was coming to participate in a Fox News Town Hall focused on Women's Issues.
Happy Pride, y’all!
The kids and I had a fantastic time at the ATL Pride Parade yesterday, walking with Georgia Equality alongside Susie Greenberg and Shea Roberts. Parades have quickly become the highlight of the campaign for me and the kids, and nothing quite beats a parade with over 100,000 people just pouring out good vibes.
Rock the Vote rally.
What a huge turnout for the Cherokee County Democrats' Rock the Vote rally in Woodstock! We outgrew our initial venue by a MILE and packed the house for a slate of local Democratic candidates and our keynote speaker, Jon Ossoff!
Vote Common Good rally.
Two weekends ago, Danielle Bell and I had the chance to join Vote Common Good's "Faith, Hope, and Love" bus tour when they visited Canton, in Cherokee County. It was an opportunity for me talk about my philosophical alignment with VCG's Christian commitment to the ethic of love in our public and political lives.
Roswell Youth Day Parade!
This past weekend's Youth Day Parade in Roswell was probably the high point of the campaign (so far) for my family. We joined 40+ volunteers and three dogs on a custom-built float and shared a mountain of candy with the kids along Woodstock, Canton, and Mimosa. We had the most amazing time!
Women’s Day rally at the local Harris-Walz office.
Two weekends ago I had the chance to (quickly) address a Women's Day Rally at the Harris-Walz office just across the river in Sandy Springs. And much to my surprise, someone was nice enough to catch me on video.
Mr. Jordan goes to Roswell.
Last night was public comment night for the Roswell City Council . I went as a resident—not as a candidate—to voice my support for preserving or history and my opposition to Mayor Kurt Wilson’s lack of transparency and constituent engagement.
But the mayor had other plans.
Of pride & progress in Cobb.
With Pride month coming to a close, I wanted to share some notes from a panel discussion hosted by Cobb County Chairwoman Lisa Cupid focused on how the county has evolved in its acceptance of LGBTQ+ residents and the challenges that remain.
LET’S KEEP IN TOUCH.
